“Within a few years, the oil sands are likely to become more important to the United States than all the oil that comes to us from Saudi Arabia....it may look like topsoil but all it grows is money.”

-- 60 minutes, CBS News, January 22, 2006.

The Program (Chicago and New York):

Did you know...
Canada is the largest supplier of oil to the U.S.
There are 175 billion barrels of proven oil reserves in the Canadian oil sands.
Estimates of additional reserves exceed two trillion barrels, eight times the size of Saudi Arabia's reserves.
Canada is a safe and secure place to do business with a sophisticated economy, close proximity to the U.S., easy access, and a familiar culture.
It is estimated that the oil sands industry will spend over USD 80 billion between 2005-2015 on new projects and sustaining capital.
There are billions of dollars in untapped investment opportunities in the Canadian oil sands including in construction, manufacturing, transportation, and infrastructure.

Please join us for an in-depth discussion of these opportunities led by several of the pre-eminent authorities on Alberta's oil sands. There will also be an opportunity to network with industry professionals and members of the financial and investment community.
