Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP (Blakes) has been named Canada’s leading law firm brand for the fifth consecutive year in the Acritas Canadian Law Firm Brand Index 2020. This is the sixth time Blakes has earned the top spot since the Canadian Index was introduced in 2012.
Thanks to its clients, Blakes is the leading firm across all core brand metrics, including favourability.
“We’re very pleased with the results, particularly being ahead of the average Canadian firm and all peer firms for drivers relating to service, business-savviness and reputation,” said Bryson Stokes, Firm Managing Partner. “The Acritas results suggest that we are setting the bar for service and I thank our clients for this recognition. We will continue not only to innovate, but to develop even deeper and stronger relationships.”
Blakes is in the number-one position on all core brand metrics: awareness, favourability, the most-used law firm, consideration for top-level litigation and M&A, banking, finance and regulatory work, boardroom credibility, and international (inbound) use.
Acritas’ Canadian Law Firm Index is an independent, client-driven index that measures law firm brands most favoured by top companies in Canada and internationally. The results stem directly from client feedback based on data collected from 250 senior general counsel in Canadian organizations who were asked about their awareness of and favourability towards law firms, their consideration of firms for top-level litigation and major M&A, as well as their use of firms for high-value and inbound work.
