Blakes Wins Affinity Support Network of the Year Award for Black@Blakes

Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP (Blakes) is pleased to announce that our Black@Blakes, our affinity group that supports Black legal professionals, has been named Affinity Support Network of the Year: Canada in the 2024 LMG Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Awards: Americas. This award, presented by Legal Media Group, recognizes our role as a Champion of Change for our significant strides in fostering a diverse and inclusive legal profession and community through Black@Blakes.

The LMG DEI Awards celebrate law firms and individuals transforming the legal landscape in North America to create work and societal environments where all individuals feel valued, respected and empowered.

Award winners are selected based on their achievements in categories such as antidiscrimination, career development, pro bono, recruitment, disability, racial/ethnic diversity, sexual orientation and social mobility.

Blakes has a network of dynamic affinity groups that foster community, offer support and mentorship for lawyers across the Firm, and promote connections throughout the legal profession.
