Another Great Conversation: Tiziana Casciaro – Power, for All

September 23, 2021 - 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM

Join Blakes Partners Silvana D'Alimonte and Jeremy Forgie for a fascinating discussion on power with Tiziana Casciaro, Professor of Organizational Behaviour at the Rotman School of Management of the University of Toronto.

Power is “one of the most misunderstood — and often vilified — concepts in our society.” In this thought-provoking exploration of power, Professor Casciaro will share pioneering research and findings from her forthcoming book, Power, for All: How It Really Works, and Why It’s Everyone’s Business, co-authored with Julie Battilana. We will hear how to power-map the workplace to identify who can create real change, how to plan for and sustain power shifts, and how to uncover the human needs and desires that activate power relationships. This conversation will allow you to start demystifying the essential mechanisms for acquiring and using power in our relationships, organizations and society.

Professor Casciaro’s research on interpersonal and organizational networks and power dynamics has received distinguished scientific achievement awards from the Academy of Management and has been covered by The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, The Economist, Financial Times, MSNBC, ABC, CBC, Fortune and TIME Magazine. She advises organizations and professionals across industries and has been recognized by Thinkers50 as a management thinker most likely to shape the future of how organizations are managed and led.

If you have any questions for Professor Casciaro you would like addressed during the webinar, please submit them here. We will do our best to answer as many questions as possible.
