About Alan

Alan's practice focuses on regulatory compliance for federally and provincially regulated financial institutions. He advises a variety of financial service providers, including Canadian and foreign banks, insurance companies, credit unions, money services businesses and commercial and consumer finance companies. Prior to joining Blakes, Alan worked at a federally regulated financial institution.

Alan is also a part of the Firm's Public Sector Crisis & Compliance group. He advises on public and political law issues, including lobbying matters, gifting rules, conflict of interest regimes, access to information disclosures, election finance rules and more.

Awards & Recognition

Alan is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for his involvement with a Canadian registered charity.

Professional Activities

Alan is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association and the Ontario Bar Association.
