About Annie

Annie has over 15 years of experience in tax law. She primarily practises in the area of corporate tax strategies in the context of commercial and reorganization transactions. She also has expertise advising on the tax aspects of domestic and international mergers and acquisitions.

Before joining Blakes, Annie practised at the Montréal office of a major international accounting firm. Prior to that, she worked for the Canada Revenue Agency’s Income Tax Rulings Directorate, where she acquired valuable experience in interpreting fiscal policies, Canadian tax legislation and Canadian tax authorities’ practices.

Annie also worked as a tax lawyer for seven years at another large Canadian law firm.

She is fluent in English and French.

Professional Activities

Annie speaks regularly on a wide range of fiscal topics at conferences and seminars. She has also authored several articles and given a number of presentations for various organizations, including the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Association de planification fiscale et financière.
