About Brooke

Brooke returns to Blakes as an articling student after initially joining as a summer student in 2022. In 2023, she earned her JD from the University of Calgary with a certification in common law in French from the University of Ottawa. Before rejoining the Firm, Brooke completed a clerkship at the Court of Appeal of Alberta. Beginning in summer 2025, she will be completing a clerkship at the Supreme Court of Canada with the Honourable Justice Michelle O’Bonsawin.

During law school, Brooke participated in Student Legal Assistance, the Consent Project with Pro Bono Students Canada, and the Alberta Law Review. She also tutored first year law students through the University of Calgary Academic Success Program and completed an internship in French at the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta with the Honourable Chief Justice Mary T. Moreau (as she then was). Brooke was also a participant in the 2022 Willem C. Vis East International Commercial Arbitration Moot and the 2023 Michel-Bastarache Moot Court Competition.

Brooke also holds a bachelor of arts (honours) from Queen’s University with a major in global development studies and a minor in political studies.
