Representative matters in which Daria has been involved:

• Part of the team representing an agricultural equipment manufacturer in a number of disputes in Alberta and British Columbia regarding catastrophic collapses of large storage silos

• Counsel to an oil brokerage in litigation with previous employees involving allegations of a toxic workplace, defamation, breaches of fiduciary duties and unlawful competition

• Brought an injunction application to enforce a non-competition covenant in a franchise agreement

• Successfully responded to a summary judgment application (2022 ABQB 536)

• Provided research and other support to a major pipeline company in a precedent-setting response to an application before the Alberta Securities Commission involving a hostile takeover (Re Bison Acquisition Corp., 2021 ABASC 188)

• Acted for a general contractor in an arbitration dispute involving construction of a pipeline

• Represented a client in arbitration against a software developer over delays and cost overruns

• Provided research and other support on an appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada on behalf of a hydroelectric project partnership (2022 SCC 41)

• Counsel on a successful response to an injunction application by an employer involving allegations of breaches of non-solicitation and non-competition covenants (2022 ABQB 58)

• Defended multiple small claims brought against an oil and gas exploration company

• Successfully responded to a mandatory injunction application brought against a contractor in a construction dispute

• Counsel on multiple appeals of decisions of the Municipal Tax Assessment Board, including to the Court of Appeal of Alberta (2022 ABCA 312)
