About Elizabeth
Elizabeth’s practice covers various aspects of civil and commercial law, including commercial litigation, class actions, product liability matters and international commercial arbitration.
Elizabeth represents clients, either as plaintiffs or defendants, in regular civil proceedings, as well with respect to various extraordinary proceedings, such as injunctions and seizures before judgment. She advises Canadian and foreign clients, including manufacturers, financial institutions and pharmaceutical companies, as well as local and multinational businesses.
Elizabeth also advises companies and individuals on regulatory, disciplinary, and criminal investigations, as well as on investigations led by government authorities. In addition, she counsels clients with respect to internal investigations, as well enforcement proceedings brought by government authorities and self-regulatory organizations, including public prosecutors and professional regulatory bodies.
In 2018, Elizabeth spent the summer on secondment at a leading North American manufacturer of pulp and paper and personal care products, where she advised on a wide variety of matters related to the company's various business sectors.
Prior to joining Blakes, Elizabeth worked for five years as an adviser on federal-provincial relations at a Quebec government housing agency, where she was involved in several negotiations with the federal government and successfully obtained additional funding for social housing renovations.
Elizabeth speaks English and French fluently and has a working knowledge of Spanish and German.
