About Daniel

Daniel is the Practice Group Leader of the Real Estate group in Montréal. His practice covers all aspects of real estate transactions, with emphasis on acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, financing and development, involving major commercial real estate properties of various classes. He is also experienced in commercial leasing, having acted for both tenants and landlords in leasing transactions, in the pharmaceutical, banking services, food and retail industries.

Daniel also assists clients involved in the energy and natural resources sectors with projects such as wind power and mining exploration in Quebec. In that context, he has supervised the assembling of lands and the establishment of superficies rights on private lands.

Acted for an Ontario-based pension fund in the acquisition of major multi-family residential assets
Acted for Quebec- and Ontario-based pension funds in numerous acquisitions of office and industrial assets
Acted for a major pharmaceutical company in the sale of superficies rights and assignment of ground lease
Acted for a major foreign pension fund in the sale of 90% interest of a downtown Montréal office building
Acted for the Government of Canada on its C$1.4-billion sale and leaseback of portfolio of seven office properties across Canada, containing approximately 3.5 million square feet of space.
Actively participated in the sale of Bell Canada Nuns' Island project, considered to be one of the largest and most prestigious single-tenant developments to have been built in Montréal
Represented an international pharmaceutical products distributor in connection with built-to-suit leases of office and warehouse premises
Acted as lender's counsel in a C$176-million acquisition financing of a multi-office complex in Montréal, Quebec
