Furyal joins Blakes after completing her second year of law school at the University of Alberta. During law school, she has served as the Secretary of the Muslim Law Students’ Association, a member of the JEDI Council, and as the Director of Health & Wellness. She also enjoys mooting and recently competed in the Immigration Law Moot.

Before law school, Furyal graduated with Distinction from the University of Calgary with a BA in Law & Society. Furyal has worked in the technology sector, EDI space, and most recently summered at a large bank with their Compliance and Legal teams. Furyal is also passionate about social justice and is involved in the non-profit area.

Outside of work, Furyal enjoys travelling with her family, reading, and giving back to her community.
