Ian's practice includes a range of various intellectual property, commercial and regulatory matters. He frequently advises on the intellectual property aspects of complex corporate transactions and commercial arrangements.
Ian is also a registered trademark and patent agent and assists clients with obtaining and enforcing intellectual property rights in Canada and worldwide.
Ian has advised on advertising and marketing, contests, product labelling, and product recalls. He has also liaised with government regulatory bodies with respect to highly regulated products, including food, alcohol and pharmaceutical products.
Ian has more than 20 years of experience, including in private practice and also in house as general counsel with both private and public companies.
