James provides advice to employers with respect to all matters that arise in the life cycle of the employment relationship, including pre-hiring considerations, discipline, terminations, human rights and accommodation, occupational health and safety, and workplace violence and harassment.
In addition to his advisory practice, James regularly represents clients in employment-related litigation matters, including proceedings involving wrongful dismissals, breach of non-competition and non-solicitation obligations, misuse of confidential information, human rights complaints, and employee fraud. James also advises on the employment aspects of corporate transactions.
