About Jenna

Jenna's restructuring practice includes distressed mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, financial restructurings, debtor-in-possession (DIP) financings and security enforcement in formal insolvency proceedings and through informal work-outs. Jenna has been an advisor on a number of significant cross-border and domestic restructuring matters in a broad cross-section of industries. Jenna also provides advice on general corporate and commercial matters.

Jenna advises foreign and domestic secured and unsecured creditors, lenders, debtor companies, purchasers, receivers, court-appointed monitors, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders impacted by various insolvency proceedings. As a member of the Blakes U.S. initiative team, Jenna relocated to the U.S. from 2013 to 2014 and focused on Canada/U.S. cross-border transactions.

  • The purchaser in the insolvency proceedings of Herbal Magic Inc.

  • The secured creditor in the cross-border insolvency proceedings of CPI Portrait Studios

  • Terrace Bay Pulp Inc. in the sale of its business and assets under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act (CCAA)

  • The receiver in the United Silver Corp. receivership proceedings

  • The purchaser in the CCAA proceedings of The John Forsyth Shirt Company

  • The secured creditor in the Fletcher Leisure Group Inc. cross-border receivership proceedings

  • The DIP and secured lenders in the Northstar Aerospace cross-border restructuring proceedings under the CCAA

  • The interim receiver, receiver and trustee in bankruptcy in the insolvency proceedings and sale of the Kraus carpet companies

  • The receiver in the insolvency proceedings and sale of The Rosseau Resort Developments Inc.

  • An aircraft lessor and tour operator in the receivership of Skyservice Airlines Inc.

Jenna is a member of the Turnaround Management Association, INSOL International, the International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation, The Advocates' Society, the Canadian Bar Association and the Ontario Bar Association.
