About Josie
Josie has been with Blakes for the better part of her career and has been practising as an intellectual property law clerk since 2017. Her role has included Canadian patent prosecution work, the payment of maintenance fees in Canada and globally, and conducting ownership searches relating to patents, trademarks, industrial designs, copyrights and domain names.
Currently, Josie assists with corporate transactions such as registering assignments, name changes, amalgamations, mergers, security agreements and security releases with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and the United States Patent and Trademarks Office. She also arranges for foreign filings against all intellectual property.
