About Jamie

Jamie advises clients on a range of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and public and private financings. He also provides ongoing advice to issuers regarding corporate governance, continuous disclosure obligations, and various other Canadian corporate and securities law compliance matters. Jamie has extensive expertise advising clients in the mining and biotechnology industries.

Jamie spent over a year in the Firm's New York office, where he focused on Canada/U.S. cross-border M&A transactions and financings.

  • Equinox Gold Corp. in connection with its acquisition of 40% of the Greenstone Mine for US$995-million and the associated US$299-million bought deal equity offering and US$500-million debt facility
  • Maverix Metals Inc. in connection with its acquisition by Triple Flag Precious Metals Corp. for US$600-million

  • Great Bear Resources Ltd. in connection with its acquisition by Kinross Gold Corporation for C$1.8-billion

  • Great Bear Royalties Corp. in connection with its proposed acquisition by International Royalty Corporation for C$200-million in cash

  • Capstone Mining Corp. in connection with its C$1.1-billion business combination with Mantos Copper
