About Karl
Karl's practice focuses on information technology and intellectual property (IP) transactions. He regularly assists clients ranging from emerging start-ups to established companies. He advises them on navigating complex technology-related transactions, including system procurement and implementation, distribution, technology licensing and transfer, and SaaS agreements.
Drawing on his previous experience as the sole in-house counsel of an artificial intelligence technology start-up, Karl also offers his clients clear and practical advice to protect and commercialize their technologies and IP.
Earlier in his career, Karl practised at a leading Canadian IP law firm, where he focused on drafting and prosecuting patent applications.
