About Lisa

Lisa works collaboratively to develop and implement programs, policies and practices that advance the Firm’s equity, diversity and inclusion strategy, goals and initiatives.  

In this role, Lisa collaborates with internal teams on educational and training opportunities for Firm members and supports the Firm’s affinity groups and internal networks. In addition, she oversees outreach initiatives, including internship programs for underrepresented students and building relationships with external equity-deserving student groups and professional associations.

Prior to joining Blakes, Lisa worked in the student services offices of two Ontario law schools, focusing on career development, experiential education, Indigenous initiatives and student support. She was also the acting executive director for a national charity, where she led an innovative justice and education program for First Nations, Métis and Inuit youth.

Professional Activities

Lisa is an active member of the National Association for Law Placement (NALP), where she is a member of the Canadian Diversity Working Group and the Native American and Indigenous Peoples in the Profession Task Force. She formerly served as co-chair of the Toronto Recruitment Working Group, a member of the 2024 Annual Education Conference Planning Committee and a member of the Regional Leadership Council in 2023.

Lisa is also a member of the Association of Law Firm Diversity Professionals and the Indigenous Bar Association.
