About Mackenzie

Mack practises corporate and securities law. He advises both public and private companies, as well as financial institutions, on a wide range of transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, public and private financings, private equity transactions and corporate reorganizations. He also provides ongoing advice to clients with respect to securities regulatory compliance, continuous disclosure obligations, stock exchange matters, and corporate governance.

Recent representative matters include assisting:

  • Galaxy Digital Holdings Ltd. in connection with its C$170-million bought deal public offering of ordinary shares

  • Carbon Engineering Ltd. on its acquisition by Oxy Low Carbon Ventures, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Occidental Petroleum Corporation

  • IAA, Inc. in connection with its acquisition by Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers Incorporated for US$7.3-billion

  • Sabina Gold & Silver Corp. in connection with its acquisition by B2Gold Corp. for C$1.1-billion

  • An international robotics company on its acquisition of certain assets in British Columbia

  • Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. on its acquisition of Australia-based Chesser Resources Limited for A$89-million
