Melika recently joined the Blakes team as a Summer Articling Student. She is currently pursuing her JD from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia.

During her studies, Melika was awarded the Malcolm MacIntyre Memorial Entrance Scholarship in Law, the Joan Joyce Carter Memorial Scholarship, and the Leslie E Harowitz Memorial Prize based on faculty recommendation.

During her time in law school, Melika volunteered with the Law Students' Legal Advice Program, the Allard Law Women’s Caucus, and the UBC TLABC Oral Advocacy Society.

Prior to law school, Melika earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of British Columbia.
