About Bobby

Robert is a member of the Corporate & Commercial group at Blakes, recognized as a Band 1 practice for M&A and Corporate & Commercial in the 2024 edition of Chambers Canada, the top Corporate & Commercial practice in The Globe and Mail's 2024 edition of "Canada's Best Law Firms," and Law Firm of the Year in corporate law by Best Lawyers 2022.

Robert's practice covers an array of corporate and commercial matters, including both domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity, complex corporate restructurings, bespoke corporate governance and commercial transactions. He has experience acting for domestic and foreign clients in a variety of sectors and also represents award winning emerging and growth-stage businesses.

Robert advises clients on day-to-day corporate and commercial matters and regularly liaises with Blakes specialists from various areas of practice to provide targeted advice to clients operating in diverse sectors. He also routinely provides pro bono legal advice to community and non-profit organizations.

Robert joined Blakes as a summer student in 2015 and completed his articles with the Firm in 2016/2017. During his articles, he was seconded to an international bank, where he worked on a variety of corporate governance and regulatory matters.
