About Sean

Sean's practice focuses on the development of major projects, including power, infrastructure, and public-private partnership (P3) projects, and related commercial transactions.

His experience includes acting for domestic and international clients on energy infrastructure development matters, engineering, procurement and construction agreements, major equipment supply agreements, operations and maintenance agreements, procurement processes, joint venture arrangements, and asset acquisition and divestiture transactions.

Sean also regularly advises clients on a variety of commercial agreements across a range of sectors.

Power and Infrastructure

Representative matters in which Sean has been involved include:

Pickering Nuclear Generating Station – Advising the owner in relation to all aspects of the refurbishment of a 2,000 MW nuclear generating station in Ontario
Long-Term Procurement – Advising proponents with respect to the IESO’s 2518 MW capacity procurement in Ontario, including with respect to battery energy storage system supply
Expedited Long-Term Procurement – Advising proponents with respect to the IESO's 1500 MW capacity procurement in Ontario, including with respect to battery energy storage system supply
West Runway Rehabilitation Project – A progressive design-build project for the rehabilitation of the west runway at the Calgary International Airport in Alberta
Niagara Hydrogen Center – Advising the owner on the development and operation of a large-scale hydrogen production facility in Ontario
Ellershouse Wind Farm – Advising the owner on the development and operation of a Nova Scotia wind farm, including with respect to turbine supply and O&M
Wheatcrest Solar Farm – Advising the owner on the development and operation of a 50 MW Alberta solar farm, including with respect to module supply, balance of plant EPC, transmission line construction, and O&M
Paintearth Wind Farm – Advising the owner on the development and operation of a 150 MW Alberta wind farm, including with respect to turbine supply and balance of plant EPC
Wild Rose 2 Wind Farm – Advising the owner on the development and operation of a 192 MW Alberta wind farm, including with respect to turbine supply, transformer supply, balance of plant EPC, and O&M
Buffalo Atlee 1, Buffalo Atlee 2, Buffalo Atlee 3 & Buffalo Atlee 4 Wind Farms – Advising the owner on the development and operation of four Alberta wind farms aggregating 61.7 MW, including with respect to turbine supply, balance of plant EPC, and O&M

OpenGate Capital in connection with its acquisition of all of the issued and outstanding shares of Player One Amusement Group Inc. from Cineplex Inc.
A Schedule I Canadian bank on the establishment of its strategic alliance with a merchant services and payment solutions provider
A Schedule I Canadian bank on the establishment of its strategic alliance with a financial technology company and related offering of banking products
Ancala Partners in connection with its acquisition of a majority interest in Noventa Energy Partners, a renewable energy company
