Unlike traditional alternative service delivery platforms, inSource uses Blakes lawyers based at our Firm’s offices. Our lawyers have an established expertise in document retention and e-discovery, legal technology, and information and data management. 

The group is led by Anne Glover, a Partner in our Litigation & Dispute Resolution group who is an expert in e-discovery and brings a commercial perspective to all projects that is unique in the industry. 

InSource is not just an innovative approach to providing legal services. Our team also uses the best available technology to meet our clients’ needs– including predictive coding and other artificial intelligence and machine learning tools.

We are constantly innovating with new technology solutions that will enable us to further increase the efficiency and effectiveness at which we work, and deliver the best possible results for our clients.

inSource is a scalable, flexible model – but also one that is fully integrated within our firm.

Because the inSource business is embedded within the Blakes model, we can provide a seamless work product within a single team. We retain the knowledge of our clients and their work, and continue to offer the high level of service our clients have come to expect from Blakes.  The same lawyers will work on your project for the duration of a mandate. 

Our inSource lawyers receive ongoing training, supervision, support and integration with our larger teams, as well as having access to the training and professional development opportunities offered to all employees at Blakes.

InSource has been helping our clients since 2013. Here is a small selection of the projects we’ve worked on to date: 

• Conducting document review on matters of all sizes, including the review of significant volumes of documentary evidence
• Responding to supplementary information requests (SIRs) issued by the Canadian Competition Bureau
• Conducting the second-level review of documents reviewed by external contract lawyers, including reviews for privilege, relevance, and for subject matter coding
• Conducting due diligence and other contract reviews
• Updating and aggregating legislation, including regulatory scans across Canadian jurisdictions​​
