About Bryson

Bryson is the Firm Managing Partner and a member of the Blakes Executive and Partnership Committees.

Bryson is also the National Practice Group Leader of the Gaming group, Co-Practice Group Leader of the National Power group and prior to assuming the role of Firm Managing Partner led the Corporate Group in Toronto.

Clients seek out Bryson's expertise to structure, negotiate and implement complex commercial transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, mergers and strategic alliances (including partnerships and joint ventures). He also assists clients with reorganizations in many sectors, including highly regulated industries such as energy/power (power generation, renewable energy, district energy) and gaming.

Bryson's gaming law expertise covers both commercial and regulatory matters. He regularly advises casino operators, investors, suppliers and financial institutions in respect of both land-based and online gaming matters. He also represents clients on joint ventures, M&A and other transactions involving the gaming industry.

Bryson acts for developers, contractors, governments and investors on a wide range of transactions (M&A, joint ventures, supply and off-take agreements) in the energy and power industries, as well as projects in the renewable energy, district energy, natural gas and co-generation subsectors.

Bryson is regional coordinator of the Blakes Japan practice.
