About Jordan

Jordan’s practice focuses on energy regulation in areas such as renewable power generation, electrical transmission and distribution, midstream oil and gas, and environmental issues. He has experience in assisting with a range of regulatory and environmental matters, including reviewing and applying for regulatory and environmental approvals, conducting transaction due diligence, and advising on regulatory compliance issues and environmental assessments.

Jordan has assisted clients in matters before the Canada Energy Regulator, Alberta Energy Regulator, Alberta Utilities Commission, and the Land and Property Rights Tribunal.

As an articling student, Jordan was seconded for a term to the legal team of a large midstream oil and gas company. During law school, Jordan worked for a utility operator as a commercial student.  Prior to law school, Jordan worked for the federal government as a small business advisor in international trade.

Select Experience

Representative matters in which Jordan has been involved include:

  • Assisting in advising clients with respect to the submission of renewable energy facility applications and amendments to the Alberta Utilities Commission

  • Assisting in representing clients at hearings before the Alberta Utilities Commission

  • Assisting in representing a client with an appeal of municipal development permit conditions before the Land and Property Rights Tribunal

  • Assisting in compliance monitoring for a client pursuant to its court-imposed Probation Order
