Pei's practice focuses on food, health, cosmetic and consumer products, and the labelling, marketing and advertising of these and other regulated products.
Pei regularly assists clients in a variety of industries, including food and beverage, pharmaceutical, life sciences, cannabis, cosmetic, retail, and consumer goods sectors, and helps them navigate complex compliance regimes (including product and facility licensing, inspection requirements, packaging and labelling, product classification, and product recalls).
In the area of marketing and advertising, Pei regularly advises clients on misleading advertising, claims substantiation, contests and promotions, and various matters relating to the execution of online and offline media campaigns.
Pei also has a breadth of experience providing health-care compliance advice to clients looking to invest in health industries, including in the long-term care, dental, medical, optometry, physiotherapy, and veterinary spaces. She works with organizations to provide creative solutions to a wide range of regulatory issues, including interactions and business arrangements with healthcare professionals, conflict of interest and fee splitting analysis, facility ownership and revenue structure analysis.
Pei's regulatory experience has been enhanced by her time as a secondee at the Canadian offices of a major beverage manufacturer.
